Question about T-Cell sizing

I have a 13,000 gallon pool with a Aquarite Goldline Chlorine Generator. The current cell in there is a T-Cell-15-SWP.

From what I read that is for up to a 40,000 gallon pool. Is that correct? I need to replace it and want to buy what I need and not just replace this with the same cell if it is overkill. Also would help by saving $$$ on the cell purchase.

Could or should I just replace with the same cell or would I be better off getting a different one?

Thank you for any and all help!!!!!

CB,

As a minimum, you want a cell that is rated for at least 2 x the volume of your pool. This is because cells are rated when running at 100% and for 24 hours.

There is no such thing as "overkill" when buying a salt cell. The bigger the cell the longer it should last, and the less you will need to run your pump.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks so much for the reply! That answers that.

So does Hayward have certified online retailers or should I buy one from my local shop. My local shop wants $1100 + tax. Is there somewhere online that is reliable and good in case of a warranty issue?

Thank you again!
