I'll say that going up to 40K sized cell would be best for your pool, you are in a hot climate and the 40K sized cell will work just fine for that pool. You can lower the run time on the pump since it will output more chlorine per hour than the smaller sized cells and it will last longer in the long run.

+1. Sorry AZ, I answered your question directly that between the 20k and 25k that the 25k unit was a no brainer for $50 more while staying in your budget. A 40k unit would be even better for your hot climate and may not be 100% needed, but certainly wouldn’t hurt either.
