PB claims to have found a pin hole leak in a spa jet. I discovered the leak when I noticed wet spots on the outside of the spa. Is putty a sufficient resolution or should I request a more permanent fix (ex. Epoxy)?
Since you gave a thumbs up to my question I take that’s a yes, that putty is going to keep you from being able to adjust that jet and in my opinion is not a permanent repair to the situation.
TY Aqua, PB is coming out this AM. The spa is still seeping water but the water level in the spa hasn't changed.. (?) I confirmed that the putty is not a permanent fix. Any experience with this kind of leak? Equipment has been turned off x 24hrs.
Spa piping that is inside the spa wall will allow water to seep through the wall if not properly sealed during the plaster process. The plaster crew will seal all pipes with a plaster mix (See picture). The water travels outside of the plumbing between the pipes and the Shotcrete. This may be the problem here, even with the equipment off for 24 hrs it’s still weeping so you still see water on the spa face.
They're going to remove the top stone and assess what's going on inside the spa wall. Equipment has been off for 48hrs (per PB) and I'm noticing the skimmer baskets and filter basket are full of debris. I cleaned everything out last night... Can the leak cause water to flow into the suction side? Also, the spa water level is the same, it's the pool that's losing water (bucket test confirmed). :/
