Is alkalinity only needed to “buffer” pH?
The reason I’m asking is my alkalinity has dropped to 50 and my pH seems to be more stable as compared to 60.
So, if all its needed to do is stabilize pH, it would appear to me it is best to keep it as low as possible as long as pH remains stable????
Am I crazy?
