so last week some of you know I got pretty nervous cause I experienced my first stain. well after an education here I was able to battle it with everyone here helping me. I appreciate that.

so this morning I did my typical walk around the pool before work. I noticed a few bugs on the bottom so I grabbed my net and scooped em out. when I removed 2 of them I noticed 2 stains left behind. I didn't panic this time. I NOW know they are organic and I also NOW know from this site how to battle them. So I grabbed a pole and a puck and some duct tape cause the water was 62 only. I taped the puck to the pole lowered it and scratched the surface. I let the puck residue sit for like 30 seconds. Brushed it away and both gone.

Golf clap. . . for TFP!!

So my question and why I am here talking about this. Taping the puck to the pole was sketchy at best. So is their a better method when you can't get in the pool?

I have new plaster so I don't really want to place granular in a sock right on the stain for a while.

What do you all think of this?

It's for acid for metal stain removal but can I just put liquid chlorine in it?

Also if so can I use it for a metal stain with 30% MA vs vit C tablets mashed up?

What do the pro's think?

top one. one spot. not the acid wash one.

Thanks everyone! And thanks for the education.

I think if someone gave me that for free I would still be too lazy to use it. I just toss the pucks in and use the leaf net to move them or get them out. Upside down scrapping toward me and then a little shake on the wall to get it to fall in the net. I keep them hidden around the pool for quick use, they last forever.

I use one for stain removal after some stains were left after an AA treatment and it works fine
Using MA make sure you only use enough to reduce your pH to an acceptable level before raising it with aeration
I also bought a 1/4" plastic valve to switch off the supply of acid when moving to a different spot

It’s talking about the top one not the acid bath one.

Mr Bruce,

ya never thought about that even. Sometimes it’s the simple things.

What about for metal stains then. U just throw a sock with vit c in and let It sit and then scoop it back up?

I'm lucky enough to have the cleanest water out of the tap you can ask for, so I never have metal stains. If I did though I would do the same thing with a sock.
