We bought our house in December. 16x32 In ground fiberglass in the back yard 90 feet from house. 12/2 running from house to pool. pump took a dive ordered Hayward sp2607x10 replacement. Here's my problem original pump was wired in with a standard plug. Do I hard wire in with a switch or would I be better off just installing the plug on the new pump pump is out in elements of rain no pump house yet so I still need to bring pump into basement for winter

Either would be fine, since you bring it in for the winter a cord would make that easier.
What about bonding pump? Original pump has bond lug not is not bonded should I just drive brass rod into ground and run wire from pump to rod?
No, bonding is not the same as grounding and no driven rod is needed for bonding. Yes, the pump should be bonded. More here, Pool School - Bonding vs Grounding
The pool was installed in the 1960s before bonding was required, so what do I do now?
