Got a call pump is not working and humming only to find both start and run capacitors blown up something I've never witnessed before. My brain told me two of them blown at once well maybe something caused it. Put my fingers into the impeller but nothing was found so I removed the centrifugal switch and centrifugal mechanism to gain access to the shaft to see of its locked up which it was. I guess after being energized for hours with the centrifugal switch closed blew the capacitor and I'd imagine the run capacitor followed suit. They have pentair automation but old and this was a single speed Hayward super pump. They don't want to spend on a pentair vsp so going with Neptune vsp NPTT270 which is for a c-frame and I'll just wire to the load side of the pump relay. Do I need to upgrade the impeller to match the motor or not.
