Highly unlikely. The Sta-Rite Intellipro might have been closer but still unlikely. This is a good opportunity to use union connectors instead of permanent connectors.
Probably not. You want to use the pump unions it comes with. Cant tell my pics but looks like 1.5" plumbing the new pump is likely gonna have 2" so you need to brush it down
Pump arrived today but no unions. Is this something I can get from the hardware store or do I need to order online?

That should work with plenty of thread sealer (or 3-4 turns of teflon tape). You'll still need the 2" to 1.5" adapter to glue into it and then into plumbing lines.
What kind of pump? They all come with unions unless they are standard thread in connections
I think it is 2" pipe.
I would recommend buying standard pool pump unions. Shouldn't be any more than any other union, but uses a standard size o-ring readily available from any pool supplier and unlikely to change any time soon.

Haywards come with pump unions. Pentair uses thread in fittings but they do make their own style of pump unions that are considered accessories. You can thread a 2" mpt fitting and go from there but always better to use unions to ease removal down the road
