Pump not working

Hello, my pump is not turning on. It’s been about two weeks since we last used it. I do not hear the pump start at all. Any ideas to troubleshoot?

The pump you pictured is a booster pump for a pressure-side cleaner like a Polaris.

Is THAT pump not turning on or is your main pump not turning on?

Doc,

Your booster pump will not come on unless you turn on your main pool pump...

When I look at the little display on your automation it is not in the Pool Mode.

Push the "F" button and see if you go into the pool mode and your main pool pump comes on.

Please let me know what happens..

Hi! Sorry for late response. The booster pump for the pressure side cleaner is not turning on. The main pump runs just fine.

Is the Cleaner (Aux 1) light on when the booster pump should be running?

If the Aux 1 light is on, and the booster is not running, then either the Aux 1 relay is bad or the booster pump is bad.

The first thing to test would be load side of the Aux 1 relay.

Pool mode is on & cleaner just flashes when I press it. Sf

Doc,

The flashing and the letters "DEL" mean the system is in the delay mode waiting on something.

But.. I don't know what it is waiting on. It would normally be the Pump/Filter relay, but it appears to be on

Use the little LCD and cancel the delay..

Menu, Delay Canx, press the right arrow to canx delay.

Try that..

I have never seen a delay on my system, but the manual lists the following possible delays

Heater cool down
2-speed filter pump so it starts on high speed then switches to low speed
Cleaner start delay 5 min for
Cleaner solar delay.. 5 min

In theory all these delays should just turn off by themselves.

Did you do anything to the system, before this problem started???
