How old is the entire pump? I'm in the same boat as you. I have a single speed pump and would like to change to a variable speed. I thought about just replacing the motor as well. My issue is that the pump is going on 5 years old. I would hate to replace the motor, only to have issues with the wet end of the pump years down the road.

Jandy does not make the Whisperflow pump, as in your signature. Which pump do you actually have? Even if a Jandy, a 5-year-old wet end is barely broken in.

Wow. I have had this pump for 5 years and had it listed wrong the whole time. I’m sure I got the name from my PB paperwork. Now, I wonder if I was taken advantage of even more? Here are pics of what was installed.
Can you let me know what motor would work best? Something must have dripped on the label.

No automation
The motor PoolStored recommended, the Century ECM16SQ, is a very good, though no longer made, motor. You can use your existing time clock to have it start, and stop, its internal programming. Of all the ones I installed while they were available locally, none have had a problem.
Add this, GOKITFHPM, the seal and O rings needed to complete the repair.

Thanks. Do you have a recommendation of where to purchase from a reputable dealer with the best pricing?

Inyo Pools has a good reputation, I've even purchased from them when I couldn't get a part through my distributors. Amazon has a great price. You may not get support through Amazon dealer, but my experience with those motors is that you shouldn't need much, if any.
Just follow the directions, be sure to carefully replace the shaft seal and all other gaskets/O rings in the kit, and follow this video on how to use your existing time clock:

And this one on programming:
