To make my Intex skimmer work better, I plugged the opposite intake, only to get pump cavition. The skimmer is not clogged. Any suggestions to make the skimmer stronger?

I've had the same skimmer for a couple weeks and it's been working great so far on a coleman 16'x42" AGP. I have one outlet completely blocked with a valve and just one hose coming from the other outlet to the pump. I'm not sure if you are experiencing true cavitation or maybe just air. Try bleeding the air from your pump basket and also be sure that your water level is correct and try adjusting the skimmer up or down. I believe the blue part should float out of the bucket ideally between 2 and 5 inches.
