Problems with pH test?

Anyone ever seen this? I’ve been checking my pH nearly every day since having a scale problem on my salt cell. I ran out of R-004 and ordered more on Amazon. It shows to expire in a few years. No matter what acid I put it’s stuck on this deep red. Any ideas? Im going to goto the pool store (I know) to see what their tests say.

That comparator block uses R-0014.

R-0004 is used in the larger block that comes with the K-2006 kit.

They are not interchangeable and different concentrations.

Taylor R-0004 versus R-0014

It looks like I may have ordered the wrong Taylor reagent as a refill for my PH test. I have the k-1005 kit which uses R-0014 and I accidentally ordered R-0004. Can anybody tell me the difference and whether they are interchangeable? Thanks.

LOL well there is my problem… ordered the wrong stuff!
