The best way to save money on a build is. To ask -

“ what must be done now? & what can be done later if or when funds allow?”

What did he recommend?

Not going to do the robot, recommended waiting at least 6 months on swg until plaster is cured said they won't add any salt for first 6 mos anyway so do swg next year, going to do free form over geometric as its easier to incorporate sun shelf without compromising swim area and have the pool look ridiculous.

PB provided great input!

I was under impression that if I go with pool company and all their contractors it will save me a hassle and will be faster. So whem the pool builder asked me if I want to use my own electrician and plumber I said "no" for that reason. I was wrong. Electrician pulled the line from the main panel in the garage to the pump (total of 170ft). He collected his payment ($1,600) for an extra footage (120ft), timer and receptacle outlet (which is as I found out is requirement by code) and left the trench open for the next day inspection promissing to come back and finish with the trench next day after the inspection. Needless to say he never came back to fill the trench and I had to bring more dirt to fill around the pool. So ended up paying to get the trench filled by different contractor. Plumber showed up 3 weeks later after the pool was installed. Concrete guy 4 weeks behind on the installation of the pool deck and didn't show up today second time in the row. Lawn on the front and back completely destroyed. Township inspector came over and said that wiring between subpanel and pump is "too tense" and he wont pass it. Also he found 2-3 panels to be 47 inches from the ground instead of 48. Needs to be reinstalled.
That's just a few moments of the last 2.5 month
