I noticed water near my pump and it had not rained in a week. I traced the leak to the area circled in red. It's just above my pump at a spigot used for draining the pool. I'm not sure if the leak is where the brass spigot meets the pvc or if the leak is in the recessed area of what I call the cap, what the spigot is threaded into. Sorry I don't know the correct technical word for it. Please feel free to correct my layman's language. I had my pool constructed just over one year ago. Can I use marine grade epoxy to fill the holes as I've read about in older threads? Or do I need to cut and replace? 5-29-2022.jpg

I would first try something simple like Teflon tape or plumbers goop. No epoxy or you'll have to cut it out later. With pump off, unscrew the spigot and apply about 4-5 wraps of The teflon tape on the threads. When you reinstall it, don't overtighten. Just snug. If it still leaks, then try a little tighter. See if that works and let us know.

Thank you for the advice. I put the teflon tape on it but I think I overtightened it. The leak is worse and a crack is visible. I loosened the spigot a little to allow the crack to close some. I have someone coming to help me cut it out and replace it.
