We are having a rare deep freeze in south Texas. The plan was to run the system 24 hours. We lost power at 1 AM. When I realized power was off at 4 AM, I drained the pumps and remove the filter basket covers. I drained the cartridge filter. I drained the heater. When opening the filter, basket covers and chlorinator, there were already thin shards of ice inside. No apparent damage.
Question: now that power is back on, should I restart the system, or should I wait until this Siberian Christmas ends? We have perhaps another 36 hours below freezing here.
