Possible skimmer blockage

Howdy folks

Harvey came knocking at my door this week, and although we escaped unscathed, the pool has a lot of junk blown into it. I've got the chemistry looking better, and our pool store opened today allowing me to load-up on salt (along with 1/2 of NorthWest Houston apparently) and Muriatic Acid, but my husband has just pointed out that the suction to one of the skimmers seems severely restricted. The skimmer baskets were emptied daily and got pretty full, and at one point, this malfunctioning one got displaced.

We're pretty certain it's plugged with something - nothing immediately visible though.

I don't think we have a backwash option on our cartridge filter.... any ideas?

Thanks
Em

Sorry to hear about all the heartaches and damage in Texas :(

You'll want to replace the missing skimmer basket as soon as you can.

You could try forcing water backwards through the affected skimmer line.

Close valve to main drain, if any.
Close valve to the other skimmer.
(i.e. close all suction lines except the affected skimmer line)
Open pump strainer lid.
Push a garden hose into the suction line, wrap something around it to try to get a seal.
Remove the skimmer basket.
Turn on the water gradually and see if it dislodges anything back toward the skimmer.
