We just aquired a inground fiberglass pool with our new house. I believe it is about 40 years old and 20,000 gal.
I've noticed that debris don't seem to be sucked up at the bottom of the pool. I swam down when the pump was running and didn't feel any suction on the bottom drain.
The skimmer and pump and filter are all working fine. I tried using a hose to force water through the line at both ends, and leaves and such came out the same end, but not all the way through. So I think it may just be totally clogged and full of leaves.
Any suggestions on how to clear it out? The hose was only helpful for the first foot or so and then didn't seem to help.
