Pooltone light to replace Globrite

Has anyone put the FS lights into the Globrite Niche? Getting ready to order the 3rd Globrite since pool was installed in 2015, there has to be a better solution.

Has anyone installed this one? PoolTone™ Nicheless 1 1/2 inch (small face) Pool or Spa Light 15 - 150 Feet

Did id fit in the Globrite Niche?

I'd almost like to go with this one if I could get it to fit in the Globrite Niche and sit flush PoolTone™ Nicheless 1 1/2 inch (large face) Swimming Pool or Spa Light 15 - 150 Feet

I have not physically put the Pooltone small face lights in yet. But my research says they should work fine. You want to be sure to get the silicone ring so the light stays more secure in the Globrite receptacle.

The lights will not be as bright as the Globrite (8w vs 15w). Also, they will not follow the color as shown in Pentair automation, if you have that.

The large face should sit flush if you do not have a fiberglass pool AND your light is on a flat wall.

The large face is brighter then the small face, and I do have a vinyl liner in my inground pool, flat wall.

I think I'm going to go for it.

I did order the 18 Watt large face. I will update this thread once I get it installed.
