Pool wall being built, what do you think?

Pool remodel is under way, tile and coping are in, we added a wall behind the pool and a wall that surrounds the spa. Both walls built within a week or so of each other. The stone is lueders limestone.

Here are the pics. To me they used the good stones on the pool wall and the leftovers on the spa wall. It also appears the two walls were built at different times, though they weren't.

Your thoughts?

We've made the remodeler aware of the issue, just wonder what you think.

Chris,

Sorry, I don't see a problem.. If anything the spa wall looks better to me than the pool wall.

Maybe I just don't understand the issue. This is not paint where the same color is constant throughout the can. It is rock that is different from one stone to the next.

Let's see what our other member have to say...

Thanks,

Jim R.

The pool wall where the sheer descents are look like they have mortar dust on them. Perhaps a good cleaning? And the mortar does look like it came from 2 different batches. Did 2 different crews do each job?

Because you pointed everything out to us, we see everything clearly. In the end Chris, I think you as the owner will be the only one to really notice the differences. I was the same way about several imperfections in our pool and patio work. I have come to the realization (for my own sanity) that some things are out of my control and/or not worth the battle. I'll admit I am a bit of a perfectionist, and we all certainly paid good $$$$$ for a pool, so if it's a battle you wish to pursue you have that right. But when the water's in, our guests will never see all the things we do as the pool owner. Everyone will enjoy the oasis just fine. :swim:
