Hello!
I just bought a house and it came with an inground pool that has been neglected. I’d love to use the pool for swimming and not a biology experiment! I know I need to drain it, but also need a new liner , at the very least. House was built in 1988 but not sure when pool was added. There is only one place where liner is torn. It seems that the track is intact but is there some kind of cover that can be used to cover the track? It appears there was a putty material used but need replacing. Any advice on this process would be greatly appreciated. What kinds of parts/equipment should I be prepared with when I’m ready to replace the liner? Is there a recommended vinyl thickness? Do I need some kind of padding under the lining? What about measuring for the liner?
