The issue with our Pump.
Don't know what to do. Very frustrating

We have a pump that keeps on giving me the same error message.
"SVRS: Clean the drain before restarting"
(1) Where is the drain?
(2) Which one needs attention, as all drains seem clean?
(3) Pictures or videos for assistance would be welcome.

Our frustration is growing, and the solution is not.
I hope someone will share his/her expertise.
I look forward to your help.
Thank you.

Dorian,

I assume this is an IntelliFlo with the SVRS option... Pentair makes the Gold standard of pool pumps.. Unfortunately, the SVRS is not one of them.. It is more the "Brown" standard, it you catch my drift...

It is designed to shut off if someone gets trapped on the pool's main drain. Sadly, it will shut off if your next-door neighbor just passes a little gas...

There is nothing you can do to fix it, or adjust it, you just have to learn how to live with it...

ANY surge in the water flow will shut the pump off... If your water is too low, it will shut the pump off, if you shut off the filter air valve too quickly, it will shut the pump off.. If you turn a water valve too quickly, it will shut the pump off.. etc...

Is this a new pool?? If so, you should demand that your pool builder replace it, with a real IntelliFlo pump.. If this is an old pool, that has been working ok, then you have to ask yourself, what did you change? If it has been working, then something in the water's path has changed..

Tell us when the problem occurs... Show us several pics of your equipment pad and maybe we can spot something.

Thanks,

Jim R.
