Pool Stains?

I have a gunite pool and I noticed pool stains occurring over the past two years. I'm not sure how to get rid of them. I tried Leslie's Stain Remover. But I will admit, I probably didn't put enough in my pool. I have a 60K gallon pool. But I was wondering if anyone has seen these type of stains before and how to remove them.

To me it looks like discolored plaster and you should just ignore it.

Thanks for the stain article. I will work on identifying the stain.
The pool is new to me. I brought the house 3 years ago. The pool is probably over 10 years old. But the stains showed up within the last year.
