We had our pool remodeled due to cracks in the wall/leaking. A pool within a pool was constructed. All new filtration, skimmer, pumps, bubblers, heater/chiller. Pool equipment was removed from one side of the house and new equipment/plumbing installed on the opposite side.
We filled the pool after the Stonescape was applied. The first leak discovered was in the main drain, it is now plugged. (we do not know why they didn't replace the old drain)
The second leak is in the new skimmer, they applied putty.
The third leak is in the old line for the vacuum, they capped it. We do not know why they installed a new line for the vacuum and left the old one.
On top of the leaks there are flaws with the Stonescape. The steps and step-out are wavy, noticeable because of the tile line. It also looks like they ran out of product when they completed the spa because the texture is missing in patches along the floor, seats and wall.
The contractor sent an email to schedule the final walk through. We can't accept all this. The chemical start up tech and plumber commented that the pool is not leaking now and there are always things found at the end of construction.. Please let me know how you would approach this. The final inspection has not been requested yet by the contractor. Thank you for your time and advice.
