POOL PUMP REPLACEMENT?

30,000 GALLON IN GROUND POOL with sand filter.

I need to replace my single speed 230 v 1 hp Waterway SVL 56 pump.

I have two 1.5" suction pipes that combine to one 2" pipe at the pump.

I am wanting some type of variable speed pump but I am overwhelmed with the options.

Can someone chime in on what I need?

Nope, slow the pump speed down to reduce flow and save a significant amount of power. You’ll never operate at 3 hp.
It’s a great pump very suitable for your application.

Now you got me thinking...
so i have a polaris on my system with a booster pump.
with this Pentair 3 HP could I do away with my polaris booster pump and just turn the speed up on the Pentair to run the Polaris?
