I have a above ground pool with a 1 HP Blue Wave Tidal Wave Roaring River pool pump. I purchased the pool and pump together brand new 10 months ago. Yesterday the pump stopped working and just hums when plugged in. No debris in pump, shaft turns freely. I thought it had to be the capacitor, but I can’t even find a capacitor on this pump. Any ideas?

Have you tried removing the rear cover to the motor? Not all motors have the cap "hump" on top, and some only one cap at the rear. If that doesn't help, maybe post a pic of your pump and motor so we can see the details of what you have there.
