Hello all! I purchased a house in Phoenix about 6 weeks ago and it came with a pool. I've never owned a pool before, but am pretty self-sufficient. I DIY all my house improvements and repairs, hack on stuff, service and repair my cars myself, and so on. TFP seemed a good fit for my type, and I've spent the last 6 weeks reading furiously, ordering my test kit and refreshing my high school chemistry, logging in PoolMath, and getting my chemicals in balance.
Next major activities:
1. I'll be upgrading my Pentair EasyTouch from a 4 to an 8 (with some easy resistor soldering), thanks to the guides here, so I can add some more interesting automation
2. I'll be hooking up a Raspberry Pi and running nodejs-poolController to upgrade the incredibly horrific Pentair user interface, also thanks to the guides here.
