The screw to my pool light is fused shut with calcium scale or something. I can’t get it undone to replace the light that’s not working. Normally on a screw above ground I would use wd40 to loosen. Any ideas on how to get loose without having to drain the water below the light? Thx.

I think you will end up needing to drain the pool down.

It takes leaning over the wall unsupported, or being in the pool, but I have been able to get those out by using a hammer to tap on the end of the screwdriver while turning the screw. Sometimes it only took a tap or two to loosen the screw.

Thanks I’ll try the hammer before draining.
