Hi all
I need help with my pool. I have a 15000 gal in-ground vinyl chlorine pool. I had no issues last year outside of a little algea issues here and there. This year when I opened it it was have full with water. I had a water truck come and drop 6800 gals of water. Since then my pool has been cloudy. I keep testing the water each week and the results are as followed.
Free chlorine 0
Total chlorine 0.5
Cyanuric Acid 0
Total hardness 250
Alkalinity 40
PH 7.2
I use test strip type tester. I have an in line chlorinator that seems to be having issues this year so I have been using a floating chlorinator. In the pool bin when I bought the house had chlorine tablets, soda ash, and DE for the filter. I am not a pool person but for my wife and kids I'm trying. The app asks all these things I don't understand with all the abbreviations. Please help. Thank you

Welcome to the forum!
You need to follow the SLAM Process. To do that, you need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100 or Taylor K2006C. A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.

While you are waiting on your test kit, add 5 ppm FC (1 gallon of 10% will work) worth of liquid chlorine / plain bleach to your pool each evening with the pump running. This will replenish the FC lost each day to the sun and also inhibit any algae in the water from growing further.
I suggest you read through Pool Care Basics - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool
