Let me start by saying we left the pool uncovered for the first time. We were going to drain but delaware pool companies basically did not offer a full pool drain. We decided to fix the water up. We shocked and then shocked again becuase the water wasnt clear enough. Got as much debris out as we could. Added salt got our PH levels to normal and Alkanity normal. I added Flocc to it and I think I added to much in a moment of frustration so I quickly turned the system off and now I don’t know what to do.

Welcome to TFP! Here at TFP we don't use floc or any intermittent shock products to try and clear algae. Floc can cause more damage than good if not used properly. Those things simply don't work. Your cell can't compete with algae either. We follow the SLAM Process using liquid chlorine as the primary agent. Review that article and you'll understand what we mean.

Also be sure to bookmark the Pool Care Basics page if caring for your pool on your own is what you are interested in. Pool store testing and support is horrible at best. Enjoy the forum. :swim:

Be sure to test your own water. That is always the first step. Even though you may only have about 60 days remaining in your season, you want to close this water with crystal clear water.
