Second-season pool owner here. Trying to set my automation to the right settings.
Location - Phoenix, AZ
10,000-gallon pool

Here is my current schedule:
9pm-5am (8 hours) - low speed (1500 rpms, 27 GPM)
5am-8am (3 hours) - high speed (2800 rpms, 60 GPM)
Total = 11 hours, 25k gallons filtered per day (2.5x pool volume)
Can I tweak this schedule some? I was thinking I could come down to 6hr low, 2hr high.
I also need some advice for heating the pool during the colder months. Is it best to heat on demand for the days I plan to swim or run for a set period each day to maintain temperature? I typically swim on weekends, so I think on-demand is more efficient.
I have also learned that it is best to heat the pool only during the day when the sun is out. Otherwise, the heater doesn't perform very well.
