Pool Build - Round Rock, TX - February 2016

All the rain we've been getting in central TX has delayed our ability to get loam and sod but we're hopeful it'll happen this week. That's really all that's left. The startup folks that the builder have been using are just a few days away from turning it over to us then we'll be swimming on Wednesday! Took advantage of the nice weather we had this weekend to get some planting done, apply some fresh paint on our existing outdoor furniture, and install trim and pea gravel around the equipment pad.

Counting the seconds until Wednesday!

Well... exactly two months ago excavation started and in about an hour, when my wife gets home from work, the five of us will be enjoying our first swim! This forum has been a great resource for us both before and during the build and I appreciate all the comments, warnings, suggestions, etc. along the way. Looking forward to giving back some of that assistance in the future.

And a couple of kegs of pool beer from our favorite local brewpub, The ABGB!

Great looking pool! We are in Leander and nearing the finish line here as well. I really like the design and materials you chose, it is very "clean" looking and just flows perfectly. Kind of just has a calming effect when looking at the pics. Congrats and enjoy, looks like you are set for great summer!

OH Happy Day!! It may still be a little cool but it will be so worth it!! SOOO PRETTY!

Talk to your PB but here is our start up guide. Your PB holds the warranty card so his word goes. BUT most of the time they like what they see when they see it.

Do you have a good test kit yet? If not look in my siggy for the one we use and love.

Here are some links you will need when you are starting up a pool.

Thanks! Already got the TFT Kit. I am pretty savvy with water chemistry (from brewing) but I'm sure I'll have questions. :D
