Polaris connection.jpgPolaris connection2.jpgI have a pool repair guy who has come by a couple of times and mentioned that my polaris should not be attaching right in front of the salt cell. I added a picture so that you can see the salt cell directly in front of the input to the Polaris booster pump

He says it should damage and burn my pump out quickly (being that close to the salt cell). I believe this pump has been in place since 2012.

To me, its a salt pool, so is the salt really that much different as far as wear and tear on the polaris pump given this location? Is it worth the expense to replumb this?

My pool equipment is below the level of the pool so it is a total pain to block off the jets and rework this connection. I inherited this set up.
Thanks in advance for your input!
