Polaris Freedom?

Anyone see these new Aiper S1 Pro models?

Looks cool. At least they advertise using all brushless DC motors. That’s a much better design than Dolphin. Battery life and charging times are always an issue with these cordless cleaners. They state “up to 180min” cleaning time and a 4-hour charging time but I bet those are only under the most optimal conditions.

I wouldn’t throw away your manual vacuuming head just yet 😂

I remember reading in the manual that it has to be stored protected from the element.

I have mine in a deck box similar to the ones used to store towels and pool toys.

Just saw they are releasing a new freedom plus with a physical remote! Preorder for May:

Anyone know if we’ll be able to buy a remote to upgrade? Looks handy seems like you can guide it inside the pool where you want it to go. I’ve already got the freedom, would lose a lot to sell/rebuy so not worth it unless I can upgrade.

PS I hate the iAquaLink app, doesn’t notify me anymore and loses the timer sometimes so I manually set a timer so I know when it’s done. Also doesn’t show what the battery % is at. Other than that I love the cleaner! Sent it multiple times before opening to clean some of the bottom and I hardly needed to manually clean anything!

Our Polaris 9550 gave me the dreaded Err 02 when we pulled it out last week to drop in the pool after opening, so I've been waiting for the Polaris Freedom to be on sale again. It's on sale at Leslie's for 10% off, $1259, and qualifies for the $50 rebate because this is Leslie's "Polaris Days" event. I'm excited to get it and see if it plays nice with our Betta skimmer bot!

Anyone have this having issues with it notifying completion?

Also noticed my battery indicator in the water showing orange with 30 minutes left? Is that normal or is my battery dying?
@stevepoint i also have the situation with no notification at completion and the orange battery indicator while running. I don't call it an issue since the bot is still running and cleaning strong. Season 2 here we go.

On April 15 we purchased a Polaris Freedom for our 10k in ground pool. Initially it worked fine and was used daily. In about an hour it completely cleaned our pool. On two occasions it flipped itself upside down on the deep end of the pool. I had to shove it around with the recovery hook scratching the clear top case. Finally got it flipped over and recovered it. Now its top is scratched with long deep scratches. After about two weeks it failed to charge but resetting it on the charger made it work again. This Monday it failed to charge again and would not charge. Error code was four blinking red lights. so I took it to Leslie’s and they said they would repair it under warranty. I will update when I get it back.

Got my Polaris Freedom out of the shop after a couple days. They said it needed to be dried before charging. But they ordered me a new charging base just to be sure. When I got home I plugged it in and it charged. Ran it in the pool and it did good picking up leaves, a stick and even some DE dust. I rinsed it, towel dried it and it would not charge. Blew it down with the leaf blower and still won’t charge. Now it’s in the house in the AC drying out and I will try to monkey with it till my new base arrives. As it stands I don’t have a lot of faith in this machine.
