Polaris 280 cleaner, about 2 years old, and the tail doesn't sweep anymore. It just sort of drags behind the cleaner which now gets stuck a lot. The tail is not stiff. Water comes out of the tail but I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like. Right now, it's sort of just blasting out all over the place. Picture and video linked. Is it just time to replace the tail?
Polaris 280 tail spray

Edit: Now that I look at it more and other hoses online, the end is really chewed up. Maybe I just need to replace the end.
Edit2: Posted picture and video properly.

That tip on the end of the hose is clogged with debris. It is sucked in those slots on the side of the tip that should be covered by the foam.
Get a "Swasher" hose on Amazon and you will not have any more problems. Wish I had invented it. Mines been on my Polaris for over 4 years with no issues. It won't spray the windows. Get the entire assembly for about $40.00. The kit that just replaces the hose-end costs over half that and isn't as complete, plus hard to install.

Interesting, I just saw that product online yesterday. There's a pro model also for $1 more, but the reviews aren't as good as the "normal" model. Think I may give it a shot since a replacement sweep is almost the same price. Luckily our pool is far enough away from the house that it doesn't wash our windows. :)

I bought a "Pro" model this summer. It has been working as advertised. It sweeps a bit faster than the OEM Pentair tail, but that tail was getting old and felt stiffer than the Swasher. I got it mostly to stop the Letro from spraying folks lounging on the pool deck and it is effective for that.
