It’s hard to determine the depth of the pipe from the picture, typical shovel blades are around 11” long so having it deeper than that would help with not striking it on the first cut of dirt in the future.
I measured it. From the top of the pipe to the surface of my lawn it's about 3-4" deep. My PB is saying this is "normal" and that they'll "charge extra" to come out and fix it since "the job is done".
What are your thoughts? I want to insist that this is just poor workmanship.
Find out from the city if they have a requirement for depth on that type of plumbing, this may be your only recourse without having to pay the extra fee.
