Plaster coloring

My pool was replastered several years ago with a pebbletek type plaster and have never been happy with the looks. Looking at the picture it’s looks to have a gray covering over some of the white with blue dots.
My question does it need acid washing to remove the gray covering?

The plaster guy said he acid washed it 4 years ago but has since gone of of business.

Try and sand an area with 80/100 grit wet/dry sandpaper and see what color is exposed.

I tried a small area, sanded enough where i could feel a small
Indention and it was still gray

If it is great underneath then that is the color it cured to.

I think your right, my wife said it was suppose to be a light gray with the blue specs in it.
I complained when they first did it and they said it needed acid washing and think that made it worse.
I can live with the color part, just as long as the actual plaster hold up
