Planning new pool in SOCAL, need some advice, please!

Hi All,

I am on the stage designing my first ever pool. We have limited space in our backyard. (59'x35' area.) and come out this design.
I am trying to place the spa in nice viewpoint but not sure if it is too far from the pool equipment. It is about 65 feet away.

Is it too far?

I think it looks great, puts a focal point right where you want it and the pool is very formal. I do like those. I cannot tell you if 68ft on equipment is an issue or now...

I REALLY like that design! I will put out a call to ask about the distance from the equipment as that is not something I have really thought about so I can learn with you on this one. @bdavis466 do you care to do some teaching?? How far is too far?

I really like the design.. But I always have to ask... Have you ever been in a gunite spa? While they have a great visual impact on what a pool looks like, they are not all that comfortable.

I suspect that gunite spas are the most oversold and underused pool features.. If you have not actually used one, I highly suggest that you do, before you buy one. I always suggest this because people will often spend days trying to decide on the color of the plaster, but not spend five seconds deciding if their spa selection will do what they imagine..

Hi Jimrahbe, yes been to hotel spas I think it is good enough for us. As all adviced going to PB opinion here and will report back.
