Hola,

My tap water reads:
pH: 7.5
TA: 100
CH: 80

Bicarb needed for 500 is 320 or what is slightly less than 90 lbs. of sodium bicarbonate in my pool.

Drum method has mostly clearly laid out plans but I know there is another method floating around on the forum that I don't totally grasp.

In the most basic sense this is what I have so far:

Brush 2x daily (lockdown has me doing nothing better).
I don't know what vacuum setup to get...

Pump on 24/7 first week after fill. VS=?

Day -7: Order more reagent.
Day 1 - 21: Control pH (7.8 - 8.0) then slide towards 7.7
Day 2: Bring calcium up to 250.
Day 3: 2 trichlor pucks until dissolved then 2 more etc. until when? correct CYA?

Days 4-30: Brush and balance ph, add pucks until CYA gets 50-60's then get liquid?

Day 30: Turn on SWG
Day 30: Fix probably wacky TA with aeration

Day ?: Fix calcium?
I've read...and read. I'm not sure when the best time would be to start bringing the calcium up towards TFP standards. I have "day 2" written on a spreadsheet but have long since forgotten the source and didn't save the link :(

Am I close?

Thanks in advance!
