Hello to all. We are total newby's to the pool world. Our new build 15,000 gallon pool was filled February 1st and we're just getting started. The local Leslie's has been very helpful but I'm nervous about adding the recommended NoPhos. Phosphates are currently 655ppb. We haven't started up the salt cell yet although 6 bags of salt were added at the 7 or 8 day mark. We did add their Power Powder (chlorine). The pH=7.6, Alkalinity=101ppm, Free Chlorine=3.8ppm, Cyanuric Acid=37ppm, Salt=1777ppm. Should I be concerned about the high phosphate level and if so what are recommendations? Thank you!

Welcome to the forum!
Phosphates are of no concern, especially at that very low level.
You will find TFPC is quite a bit different than pool store methods. We advocate the pool owner doing their own water testing with a proper test kit. See Test Kits Compared
I suggest you read through Pool School - Trouble Free Pool and even look at a few of our videos TFP-TV - Trouble Free Pool

See if you can take it back. Phosphate removers are big $ makers for pool stores, so they unnecessarily push them like you just found out.

Hey El and Welcome !!! You're in good hands now. Leslie's is a large corporation who's only concern is separating you from your money. The folks at the local Walmart are kind as well, but at the Corporate level they spend 100s of millions looking to increase your purchases. From end caps to displays, their sole goal is to get you to spend more.
