Our first year of having a pool that happened. One of the pool stores said that our phosphate levels were too high and that no chemicals would be helpful until phosphates we’re reduced/eliminated. Funny thing is our main pool store did not tell us this because they wanted to sell us tons of useless chemicals. So I got some Phosfree on amazon and Shazaam. I use it immediately upon opening the pool every season. Never any issues since. I know a lot of other factors go into balancing but I think this is a great starting point.

TFP newbie, lost and confused
We've had a 24' above ground pool for a few years now but turned to the pool store for all testing and chemical recommendations. THis year I decided to do that myself and bought the TFP recommended test kit. I'm fine with doing the testing of my water, but I am not sure I am clear on how to...
