Ph testing

How long after I add acid can i test the pool again? I have a new laster pool and an trying to keep the ph under 8. It was 8.2 6 hours ago, i added the required amount of acid per pool math, and it looks like its still 7.8 (instead of 7.0 like i put acid in for)

Did i retest too soon?

With pump running, you can retest in a half hour or so. If you vigorously brush the pool, even quicker.

Thanks. I think i figured it out. My TA is 80 and the pool math calculator defaults to 0. I need to add more acid

Always enter all the parameters in Poolmath.
