Hi, regardless of how much PH reducer I add to our above ground 21 K liter pool, I can not get the PH at a good level of 7.2 - 7.4. Since the beginning of March, we have experienced high PH level. I must add that we have hard water in this area. The chlor level is ok 0.2 - 0.4. I have added algae reducer, however, as the PH remains high algae keeps building. I need all the help I can get.

Welcome to TFP! I can provide some comments to your post:
- A pH of 7.2-7.4 is okay, but actually on the low end of the pH scale for pools. A pH normally will settle between 7.6-7.8. Is there a specific reason you are trying to keep the pH so low?
- How hard exactly is your calcium? Can you post a full set of water results?
- Be sure to update your signature with all of your pool and equipment info. It helps us answer your questions.
- Tell us which test kit you use to test the water.
- Unless this is an indoor pool, your FC is actually quite low which would explain algae problems. See FC/CYA Levels. How do you chlorinate the water?
- The best way to kill and remove algae is by performing a SLAM Process.

Please review those questions and the link below for some very valuable information. We'll be here to help.
