pH Meter - Suck it with filter paper!

How did it go?:laughblue: But seriously, I have the Apera PH-60 and I rinse it with distilled water before/after each use. I then wipe it dry with a paper towel. Nothing oral involved.

Am I being dense? What are the instructions supposed to say IF translated properly, lol .

Blot the probe dry with filter paper. I would hazard a guess it stems from good practice with lab pH meters to avoid contamination or dilution of a small sample, but I can’t see any reason why you’d have to blot dry the probe before taking a sample of pool water. Especially if you’re like me and test poolside and just stick the probe in the pool/spa.
