pH is too low to get a reading

My daughter asked me to test her pool. It is one of those blow-up the ring and fill it, kiddie pools. 1018 gallons. Her father died a week ago and she has done nothing to it since that time except add chlorine tabs “to the floaty thing”. SMH. The water looks great but here are her test numbers: FC 4.0, pH too low to measure, CYA 30, TA 60, CH 90. I was going to plug those numbers into my Pool Math app and get her back on track, but I don’t know what to put for the pH. Any suggestions?

Chlorine trichlor tablets contain acid which is why her pH went so low in a small body of water.

You can put in pH of 6.8 for PoolMath. How will you raise the pH?

She should be following...

I use 20 Mule Team Borax in mine. I will use it to correct hers if that’s best.

I would do a few small doses, testing in between, and sneak up on the pH in the 7's.

But if she continues using trichlor it will crash her pH again.
