Ph always high

Every week the PH is high and I add about .5 to 1 quart of muriatic acid to balance. Is there a better way to balance the pool so I don't have to add muriatic acid every week? This is getting expensive.

What is your TA? High TA will push your pH up.
Do you have any waterfalls, bubblers or other water features aerating the water? That also pushes pH up.

Salt water generator, sand filter

No aerating features but sand filter might need better seal

Any tips for repairing that leak? Water is dripping on the sand filter intake fitting. The hose is held on with 2 steel collars. I don't want to over tighten the collars on a plastic fitting for obvious reasons. See above photos

That looks like flex pvc. It's not designed to be used with barbed fittings and clamps.

It's designed to use regular schedule 40 glued fittings.

It will probably work as is, but it's not ideal.

Try warming the pvc pipe with a hair dryer with the clamps out of the way and then reinstall the clamps while the pipe is warm.
