We are having a VST pump installed indoor pump room. It is a replacement. The location is limited and already crowded and the control panel box really needs to be turned 180 degrees so it opens opposite how it does from the factory. Is it possible to turn the control box facing the opposite direction?

Do you have the exact pump model #...
Most of the whisperflow's drive kit plug into the motor on the rear, so orienting it the other way would reverse pins 1 & 3. The bolt holes are also a 2 and 1 pattern.
It may be possible that the drive cover can be rotated 180 degrees. The drive kit cannot. You will need the EXACT pump part number. Some can be changed, some cannot.
I would call pentair to confirm for YOUR model #

It looks like the drive cover is not perfectly symmetrical, so it probably cannot be rotated.
You could probably run 3 wires from the drive to the motor and mount the drive wherever you want if the pump is inside.
