Looks like I have a shaft seal failing on my pump. Pad is wet underneath the pump in a nice fashion that indicates it is leaking out from the motor/pump seam on the unit. I am going to try and get the PB to repair under warranty, since the pump is only just over 2 years old. But if they won't for some reason, what else should I replace while I have it broken down? I figure if I'm going to tear into it, replace anything that might need to be, as long as the parts are not ridiculously costly.

Be aware that part number 29 is removed by turning to the right. It is a left-hand threaded screw. Don't lose the screw as even pool supplies have a hard time getting them (If you look on the list above it says CALL if you need one. Can't get it at Home Depot). If you do lose it, DO NOT put the pump back in service until it is replaced. That will allow water to, not just leak, but be pumped into a very expensive motor. I see at least one every year.
Should always replace 25 and 32. I have never had to replace that ring 28 (it may stay in the impeller when the screw comes out), but have always put a small amount of silicone sealant on it before replacing in the impeller. On this screw "Lefty-tighty, Righty-loosey."

I would consider replacing part 25, 28 and 32. Basically the rubber O rings.
Thanks Allen. Exactly the opinion I was looking for.

Appreciate the heads up, 1poolman1. I read on the parts list that it was LH thread, but it didn't even register in my brain.

Hopefully PB comes through. They've been great up to this point.
