Pentair Matertemp 250 display flickering

Just tried out the heater today since I'm in Florida and only need it now. I power up the system, the SPA and POOL lights come on, the display goes to 888 then what looks like P78, and then stays on that and flickers. I've read elsewhere that it is supposed to go to 128. At that point no buttons work (SPA on, POOL on, temperature control).

Any suggestions for what may be wrong? Thanks

I think your problem is stuck keys on the keypad and not the display on the PCB.
 
Post pics of your equipment pad.

You can try disconnecting the keypad ribbon cable and see if your heater starts.
