Pentair intellitouch - IC 60 com errror

There may have been some intermediate drive part numbers between the original drive listed and the current drive part number. Only Pentair can tell you.

Gotcha, I did call and they said to use 356944Z… it’s the part for a VSF pump. I have to say I’m disappointed to drop 1k on a pump that is 5 years old. My last intelliflo vsf last 11 years and was running fine until it burned up from a wild fire.. I’m still contemplating if I should keep it bandaged by letting pump run a scheduled program and leave the rest on the i5 to run. My original mobile touch is my weak link, not sure how I’d like to control the pool with the phone.

I’ll most likely buy the intellicenter 522045 and the whole drive and keyboard unit 356922Z. The prices now are just so shocking.
I’ve been retired a while now so I do have plenty of time on my hands.

you could pick up a used screenlogic protocol adapter (250ish) to get some internet connectivity, and just keep going with what you've got.

what did you mean by "original mobile touch is my weak link"? it's essentially just an indoor panel in a fancy case with a transceiver card and a lithium battery/charge circuit. You can pull off the transceiver and hard wire it if that's the issue... I've done this by passing a wire in through the antenna hole

The original mobile screen is usually clear but sometimes is fades and if I push on it the it clears up and it’s ok. So I’m careful not to bang it around etc and think once the screen is unreadable I’ll be in a fix.

Ya the pool pump on a schedule can work and I rarely use the deck jets as the flow goes down to 15gpm and a valve is programmed to turn. To use the Mets I’d have to go out to the pump house and turn on the 15gpm program and click jets button on mobile to get them to work… would kinda suck. Im trying to decide to have a pentair business just install the intellicenter and figure out if it’s the keypad or drive … or I’ll install it all. I’ve got some confusing info regarding warranty. It seems some places say 60 days for diy home owner install and the pentair site seems to say 1 year part and no warranty for pump replacement parts and it appears like 3 years on intellicenter.. but that one doesn’t say professional install required. I’ll call them tomorrow on that. I was really disappointed with my equipment install from a pentair dealer … I installed the original setup in 2005 and when it burned and had to replace I did the power panel and i5 but the rest of the install had issues… when I actually opened the vsf pump the ground wire was not tightened at all and the washer was under… I was ticked. It’s that saying now “if you want it done right you need to do it yourself”

It’s just hard for me to believe the pump is having the issue as it’s just sitting there nice and cozy in a building without any disturbances. I do understand they are subject to power outages and we have some time to time that could have affected the electronics.

The intellicenter currently has a $500 rebate until Dec 31…. So I should just order that unit now and hook it up and see where I’m at and then order the drive keyboard kit and be done with it,

I do have some time and hopefully an opportunity with pop up and I’ll get it together. I could call another pentair rep in town and see if I can speak to their tech to see if they have any spare parts I could use to check out my setup, I’m sure they do intellicenter updates and have stuff laying around.

Ok, Intellicenter is installed and pump and SWG communication is great, so it appears it was the I5/MB... I have to say checking my setup through my phone or ipad is pretty swell. So for $1200 i'm good to go until the next issue (knock on wood).

I tried to apply for the intellicenter rebate and it is not letting me click on rebate, i believe since i bought it "online" and even though it was a brick and mortar store (polytecpool) that is listed on pentair's website as authorized dealer and i had a local authorized dealer install it it' a no go... I'll call them to see what the deal really is, i ordered it so i could have it in 2 days as the local dealer did not have stock and it would most likely take longer than this year to get it.
