I just purchased and installed a Pentair IntelliConnect. Overall, it works pretty well, but has one nasty bug. When I power it down, such as when I flip the circuit breaker off before performing work on the pump, it does not come back on with all of its settings restored. We had a few power outages this week, and this is becoming a nuance.
After powerup, the IntelliConnect will:
After powerup, the IntelliConnect will:
- Put itself into service mode, despite it being in auto mode before the reboot. Not good when I'm away, as someone needs to be at the panel to get out of this mode.
- Lose settings for Relay 1 & 2, such as voltage and 'run filtration pump' setting. So flow dependent things could be commanded to run without the pump.
- Daily schedule for the pump is cleared and disabled.
- Heater can't be commanded to run, as the IntelliConnect does not think the pump is running, due to improper voltage setting (it checks to see if wattage draw is over a certain number which is how it determines if a pump is running). I need to reset pump voltage EACH time the system reboots to get the heat function to operate.
- IntelliConnect will auto connect to wifi after a reboot, so it remembers some settings. But I can't control it remotely at this point, as the app tells me it is in service mode.
